21. The Soul of Dagda
After defeating a giant on a ancient battlefield, Dagda received the new soul, Warrior Monk, a soul reserved only for those warriors who forge their own unique path. It is said to offer additional strength to those who engage in the most dangerous of battles.
22. The Soul of Selene
After destroying a beast bred for war and controlled by a Tuzolf soldier at the Cave of White Sands, Selene received a new soul, Lunar Shadow. This is a soul for warriors who hide in shadows and strike their enemies in their vital spots.
23. Selene’s Secret Mission
Selene came from the Kingdom of Rostorl with word of a request. Although suspicious of Selene’s reasons for accepting work from Rostorl, Areus trusted in the bonds between them and decided to offer his help.

Upon visiting the home of a member of the Rostorl nobility, they found the Queen of Rostorl, Eris, waiting for them. She asked them to investigate the actions of a man named Count Zegna. Both Areus and Dagda get the feeling that Selene is still concealing some secret.

Next, in order to follow the movements of Count Tuzolf, they head for the Cave of White Sands. A soldier under the command of Count Tuzolf refers to Selene as one of „Eris‘ Jewels“, a title that Selene does not deny.

It has been confirmed that Selene is in fact one of „Eris‘ Jewels“, spies working directly for Queen Eris. However, neither Areus nor Dagda know the details and tell Selene that they accept her without reservation as the person they have come to know.
24. Bounty Hunting Party
At a tavern, Areus once again encounters Sheelagh, Xenetes, and Zeraschel, the bounty hunters that had previously attacked him in their search for a reward for finding „Balor’s grandson“. Zeraschel scolds Sheelagh for drinking too much and not apologizing.

As they enter the tavern, Zeraschel can be heard complaining to Xenetes about Sheelagh. It seems that Sheelagh simply joined Xenetes‘ and Zeraschel’s group in order to earn reward money.

When she drinks, Sheelagh is in the habit of speaking provocatively to friends and strangers around her. Her companions are used to it, but it can sometimes cause a lot of trouble… But they resign themselves to it as being just a part of Sheelagh’s nature.
25. Xenetes and the Tavern Patrons
Entering a tavern in Rostorl, Areus immediately sees a face he recognizes. It’s Xenetes. He looks completely different than he did during his time as a bounty hunter and is talking happily with the other people at the tavern.

Xenetes talks about jealous he was when he saw the happiness on the face of a young man waiting for the birth of his sister’s baby. Apparently he is from a royal family, but rather than being constricted by a nobleman’s life, he chose to enjoy the life of an adventurer.
26. Xenetes and Rostorl
Xenetes and Eris meet at her mansion. The two discuss what it’s like to be born into noble families and how neither can abandon their home country. Eris, due to her responsibilities to the royal family and Xenetes, due to his ties to his relatives.

Although dissatisfied with a life born into nobility, no matter how he might complain, Xenetes admits he cannot abandon the land of his birth. Whether slum or tavern, no matter where he finds himself, Xenetes finds pleasure in the simple act of living.
27. Xenetes and the „Red Armor“
A request comes from Xenetes to deliver a package to „Crimson Armor“. The recipient is Angildan. Surprised, Angildan and Areus enjoy a conversation about past times.

After delivering the letter from Angildan, Xenetes cracks a wide smile. He talks about how, when he was a boy, he looked up to the mercenary Angildan, and admits that he is the man he is today due to Angildan’s influence.
28. The Fate of Zeraschel
Zeraschel is having a quarrel in the middle of the town. His opponent appears to be a Fallen Angel. Having been seen by Areus, Zeraschel seems embarrassed. When asked if the two of them were friends, Zeraschel ignores the question and leaves.

Before becoming a bounty hunter, Zeraschel reveals that he was a Fallen Angel raised at the Ministry. He did everything that he could for his sisters there, even being cursed for fleeing the Ministry. His only regret was the pain he would cause his sisters when he died.
29. What the Sword Saint Seeks
Reig claims no interest in those weaker than himself, but recognizing the power of Dagda, and as a member of the same race, he challenges him to a battle. Kheryuneia is surprised to see Reig looking happier than she has seen him in years. For a warrior, apparently battle is the only true path to happiness.

After the battle, Dagda points out that Reig has reached the limits of his strength with his current weapons. He tells Reig of the twin swords once wielded by the hero, Igzakus. Reig seems enthralled by the idea of the twin swords.
30. The Secret of Orphaus
Orphaus occasionally speaks as if he can predict the trouble that Areus and his friends are about to run into. But whenever they ask how such a thing is possible, he just laughs it off and dodges the question.

Furthermore, when asked why he was holding a holite fragment for the magic artifact, Orphaus just brushed it off lightly saying that he liked to have whatever he might need to live a long life.
